Stewart Sutherland and Jackson Paatsch
Stewart Sutherland is an Otway Club Legend – multiple best and fairests, club captain, previously coach in 2021 and 2022, Stewart is a dyed in the wool local champion and stalwart of the club, having played well over 250 senior games for the club. Stewie and wife Emma are the heart & soul of the club, with Emma our A grade netball coach and generational CDNFL Netball champion and Rex, Flynn and Meg all tipped to be future club champions. Stewie’s family are great club people and Stewie has dad Graeme milk the cows occasionally so he can train and play football.
Jackson Paatsch joined Otway with his group of mates who have family connections to the club and this group of great players and great blokes have really embraced the club and vice versa. Jackson played all his junior footy at Modewarre and school footy for St Josephs College. He was on the Geelong Falcons list 2018 & 2019 and played 6 games there. Jackson played seniors for Modewarre in the Bellarine League from 2018-2022. He has spent his last 2 years with Otway. Paatschy is a financial planner and enjoys spending time with his mates and his partner Gemma – which is good for Otway because a lot of his mates play footy for us and Gemma and her friends Jorja & Monet have bolstered the ranks of our netball teams, where Gemma stars in the A Grade, along with Jorja & Monet.
